Volunteer

It takes people to uplift people.

We need all the help we can get to achieve the vision of equal access to opportunity for school children in rural Kenya.

Volunteering at Young Jewels is an opportunity to give a younger self a better chance at making better life decisions and finding success in spite of their circumstances.

Our School based program targets learners aged 10-14 years old with life skill education.

Message from the Founder

“No one learns as much about a subject as one who is forced to teach it.” ― Peter Drucker

Growing up means balancing a lot in a world full of inequalities. I found myself in this same mean world; half-baked, and still expected to be somebody nobody taught me how to be. This should not be everyone’s story. While we may not be teachers, we can awaken or rather spark dreams that many do not even know they have. We can advocate for the good we wish to see in our communities or even just inform policies through science.

Our purpose is to provide mentorship to teens, advocate for menstrual hygiene management and to influence MHM policies through evidence based intervention in MHM programming.

Join us, make a difference and be a Change Champion in your own way.

Be the change, you wish to see.

Sincerely
